Farida Mahdy
Farida Mahdy is a 26-year-old photographer & visual artist from Cairo, Egypt, capturing attention with her striking artistic vision. A graduate of Applied Arts, previously served as head of exhibitions and main designer at Photopia Cairo & Cairo Photo Week.
Her photography has been featured in Vogue Italia, Lens Culture and other international publications, she has participated in numerous local exhibitions since 2021.
With her unique vision and innovative approach, Farida is not only establishing herself as a talented artist but also as a significant voice in the contemporary art community.
ARTIST STATEMENT
My artistic approach in most of by work through photography is about women, social issues, memory through conceptual approaches which represents my interests the most and currently working on my family archive as it is the main point in my practice and what my work evolves around now.
