Habiba Taha
Habiba Taha is a visual artist of multiple disciplines and a graduate of the Faculty of Fine Arts, Sculpture department. Habiba’s work revolves around themes of romanticization and exaggerated emotions often associated with reckoning with a constantly changing world, using art as a tool to express, a method to process and a vessel to contain.
Artist Statement
The philosophy behind my art revolves around using visual mediums as a language of expression when speech does not suffice, giving me the ability to connect with groups of people by having a conversation in art. As visual art is global and transcends the normal, ordinary form of language, it leaves space for more to be said with less. This expression can range from emotional to philosophical in nature, expressing thoughts, discussions, ideas, observations and most importantly; widespread emotions.
