Ghazzal Abdullah
Ghazzal Abdullah is a Cairo-based visual artist, filmmaker, and cultural practitioner. Artist Statement
My work explores the instability of memory and the elasticity of time, how moments distort, linger, disappear, and re-emerge through image, archive, sound, and repetition. I am interested in the emotional residue left behind by personal and collective histories, and in the ways memory functions less as documentation and more as reconstruction. Through moving images and visual experimentation, I examine absence, nostalgia, fragmentation, and the tension between preservation and disappearance.
